So, yesterday, I was at the bus stop downtown. It's how I get out to the wasteland known as Texas Corners where the college is located. I get to blow three bucks on a single class. Organizational Behavior to boot. If you know me, then you realize the irony in me taking this class.
Anyway, there I am, listening to my podcast, minding my own business and this CHUD of a woman comes up to me.
"Hey, you need a ride somewhere?"
Really? Was it my close proximity to the bus stop that tipped you off?
It seems that she wanted to get some gas money so she was at the bus stop offering to give people rides. Yeah, kinda creepy.
Plus, what kind of money does she think she's going to make? I can get to the college and back on three bucks. Three bucks ain't gonna put much gas in whatever it is that she's driving. And how would I get back? IS she gonna come get me? I think not.
I explained that all I had was bus tokens and she shuffled off.
I swear, only in Kalamazoo and only to me. Well, and anyone else this 'person' solicited.
Do you think that anyone took her up on her offer?
