Went to the Gillespie fortress yesterday. Ate mass quantities of pork and chicken and had some Blue Moon Pumpkin Ale. It was in a variety pack and very yummy. There was a card that also explained that August 31st, 2012 will be a Blue Moon.
I for one can hardly wait, because you know what that means?
A new Smurf will be born!
After we left the Gillespie fortress we headed over to Seann and Tabbie's and hung out, played with Izzy and Gavin and then got to walk home with Martha. It was a nice night for it and we live so close it was no biggie.
Definitely the perfect capper to the evening.
Today has been lots of walking. Went on a walk with Martha, Daniel, Sweetie and Manny. Stopped at Tila's for soda and ice cream before heading back. It's a little warm out there, but it makes me appreciate the air conditioning even more.
Tonight the new episode of Doctor Who is on.
Please God, don't let it be stupid.
You see, I've figured out what is bothering me about the Doctor Who reboot.
The original series had The Doctor go to these amazing places, do interesting things in interesting times. It was as much about the place as anything else. The new Doctor seems more, well Doctor-centric. More concerned with the character than what is going on and where he is. We don;t need to know that much about Doctor Who. We get it. He's a time lord and he is very old and mysterious.
Don't explain too much.
We really don't want to know.
We want adventures and fun. Give us that and we will be happy.
